Entry is free. There is no entry fee for the open leaderboard, monthly challenges, or the virtual championship path. WDHC is bootstrapped. Recognition is digital by default.
1. What every athlete can earn (always free)
- Placement on the public leaderboard after review
- Athlete Portal badges and tier progress
- Printable digital certificates (PR, verified hang, monthly champion / runner-up when earned)
- Certificate previews: PR, monthly, verify ID
2. Monthly challenges
Unless a specific challenge page says otherwise:
- Champion: digital certificate, portal badge, archive recognition
- Runner-up: digital certificate and portal badge
- Physical medals, gift cards, or gym day passes only when funded by the founder or a named sponsor and announced in advance
3. Pro path
Pro qualification is a competitive status (verified hang clears a weight-class threshold). Any Pro recognition gift (for example a gift card) is optional, inventory-limited, and not guaranteed. Founding Pro numbers are limited recognition, not a cash prize.
4. Championship titles
Season and championship titles follow the published championship rules and Virtual Championship SOP. Awards are digital and official recognition unless a funded prize list is published for that season.
5. Fairness
- Prizes and recognition can be withheld for integrity violations (see Competition Integrity Policy)
- We may correct leaderboard errors; prizes track the corrected result
- No purchase is necessary; no paid ranking boost exists
6. Eligibility and contest rules
- Skill contest: Outcomes depend on hang performance and compliance with published rules, not chance. This is not a lottery or raffle.
- Who can win: Athletes who submit through worlddeadhang.com (or a published WDHC event path), meet age rules (all ages online with guardian path for under 18; under 13 default private Watch unless a guardian opts in), and pass integrity review for the prize path that requires it.
- One athlete, one claim: Duplicate accounts, fake video, or bar fraud void eligibility for that prize period.
- Geography: Digital certificates and portal badges are worldwide. Physical or cash-equivalent prizes (if funded and announced) may be limited by shipping and local law; void where prohibited.
- Taxes: Winners are responsible for any taxes on prizes of monetary value in their jurisdiction.
- Substitution: If a funded prize cannot be delivered, WDHC may substitute equal or greater recognition (certificate, badge, featured placement) and will say so on the challenge or season page.
7. Sponsors
When sponsors fund prizes, the challenge or season page will name the sponsor and the prize. See the Sponsor Kit.
